2. Approval of the minutes of the E.C. as of May 26

The Executive Committee discussed the draft minutes and decided to revert its earlier decision to create the function of chief of protocol. This decision as of May 26 is not in line with the Rules and Procedures adopted during the General Meeting in January 2016, and the creation of such function is the competence of the General Meeting, not of the Executive Committee. Other minor changes were adopted to the report, which will be published simultaneously with the minutes of the June 16 E.C. meeting.

3. Upcoming events

All members of the E.C. are encouraged to make suggestions and to actively participate in the reflection on future events. The upcoming year looks particularly interesting, with many events already scheduled or under consideration (see minutes of May 26 meeting). Particular attention will be awarded to the January 2017 General Meeting with a high level key note speaker.

5. Parking at LAX

The Dean will identify the decision maker(s) for this topic and schedule a meeting. The expectation is that previous privileges at the vendors lot be restored for all LACC members, now that the work has been finished in many areas of the parking lots.

6. Replacement of Secretary and extension of E.C. membership

The Dean will invite a potential candidate and communicate the name of the new Secretary after confirmation. The outgoing secretary stands ready to brief the new secretary as needed.

The Honorary Consul of Senegal has shown a very limited availability and the E.C. members consider this as a manifestation of lack of interest. The Dean will contact two more potential new members in the coming weeks and invite them to join the Executive Committee.
